I'm comfortable in continuing to limit my BBC consumption to Top Gear, Coupling and likes. I find my news feed elsewhere.

More foot-shootery by the Beeb, then. You'd think if they wanted to doctor someone's speech, they'd choose one with a slightly lower profile!

What staggers me is that they feel the need to do it. Rather like Blair and his dodgy dossier - if you're doing that sort of thing, does it not occur to you that the point you are trying to make is slipping from your grasp?

I'm saddened by this - the Beeb has enough enemies without manufacturing them.
