the Electoral Commission seem strangely disinclined to look into Soros cash being laundered into the original remain campaign - a claim that has been repeatedly made.

The BBC anointing George's generous contribution to renewed efforts by the remainers with a positive spin is hardly responsible reportage.

George Soros does not need to care about the money he has wasted on Progressive Green Blob EU lost causes, but a challenge to Corbyn's clear views on Hard/Soft/Coddled/No Brexit? Momentum funded Labour are so obviously against all discrimination, but they make a special exception for Jews

https://order-order.com/2018/02/08/chukas-arrogant-leadership-plan-infuriated-remain-rivals/

"The Telegraph front page splash is that George Soros is putting his money behind a new campaign blitz from Gina Miller’s Best for Britain with the aim of pressuring Tory MPs in particular. Last week The Guardian ran a story claiming the “main groups opposed to a hard Brexit are joining forces under the leadership of Chuka Umunna to push for the public’s voice to be heard on Theresa May’s final deal to leave the EU.” Rowena Mason breathlessly reported that some 500,000 members of the various groups “were putting aside their differences to work together as the grassroots coordinating group (GCG).” Chuka would lead a coalition of a “new generation of politicians, in contrast to the old remain campaign associated with establishment figures such as David Cameron, John Major, Tony Blair and Nick Clegg.” The optimistic over-briefing went down badly with rival groups and personalities."

"Who could be the source of this over-briefing? A clue is given in that the person quoted at length in the article is one Chuka Umunna. It is the cash-strapped Open Britain that he fronts which is pushing to unite the disparate groups. Behind the scenes can be detected the hand of his old mentor, Peter Mandelson, trying to manipulate egos and personalities. Guido’s source tells him that it is “arrogant of Chuka” to think he can unify and control their messaging."

Supertroll, if you want a bit of latin to throw into a conversation to confuse a Lawyer, the Common or Atlantic Herring is clupea harengus. To denote the red sub species, latin offers the following options:

ruber: red, reddish, ruddy, crimson, erythraean, erythrean
rubicundus: ruddy, reddish, Red, erythraean, erythrean, florid

I do think clupea harengus rubicundus can be said with a certain amount of pretentious and thespian relish, in a sort of Rumpole of the Bailey manner.

You could try Turdus obscurus (eye-browed thrush) but I have never emitted one of those in public, and got away with it.

Gravitricity has got a £650K grant to research storing electricity in Scottish mines by putting giant 2,000 T weights down mine shafts.

Wonder what the risk assessment looks like ?

Soros spends £400K on bringing down UK Government: nothing to worry about (BBC)

Quite something when the Russian Embassy in London has to point out the obvious.

I wonder that Putin hasn't promoted the operator of the London Embassy Twitter feed to Washington....

"ofgem blames" ... pretty effin rich that.

Until ofgem segregates tariffs between "renewables" and "non-newables" and the costs follow the tariffs it's clear that ofgem are simply emitting self serving flatulence.

Having watched my bills escalate unrelated to the costs of the electricity I actually use to subsidise bumbling engineering , an assortment of bureaucratic sinecures and an ecosystem of eco-nutters promulgating serial untruths I'm hoping for an asteroid :-)

I wince internally at the memory of spending a half hour or so in the back streets of Florence as a teenager looking for unique sights - "senso unico"
