According to the BBC, the DUP may not support Teresa May in a confidence vote.
In other words, they have got all the sweet fruits of her magic money tree for nothing in return.

Sometimes I wonder if she really was the best negotiator Britain could have had.

we have our own backstop in this country: the cussed and ornery House of Commons which is going to vote the WA down regardless of who heads the government and whatever Eurosmoothies are infesting the Cabinet Office.

Your optimism is admirable. I expect MPs will succumb to blackmail & bribery and nod it through, then make patronising platitudinous excuses.

Kleinfeldmaus (8:42PM) I totally agree with you about the need to have the Withdrawal Agreement binned.

I read almost every word written on this blog, and found people's contempt for "Theresa the appeaser" excessive. I considered the words "traitor" and "treachery" intemperate, even hysterical. How wrong I was. This woman, and her personal Sir Humphrey (Olly Robbins) have undermined two Brexit Secretaries and hijacked the text of the WA. Robbins has been praised by no other than Tony Blair for having "camouflaged" (in Blair's words of admiration) the WA text; for deceiving ministers. War criminal Blair knows a thing or two about duplicity....

I just wrote to my MP who happens to be Tory, urging him to hasten her sacking, to be replaced by a statesman willing and able to defend the national interest.

Perspicacity, dear boy; perspicacity ;)

Play with the GFS 850mb temperture anomaly model for the States in early December .
The entire east coast is dipping far below normal temperatures in that model.
Parts of the gulf of Mexico is - 16 below average.

Or who gives a brass monkeys even.

I remember reading Science magazine in 1996 after freezing my appendages off in a mobile home on Ventry beech in the winter of 95/96. ( The beech itself was frozen solid during a short spell)
Funnily enough they noticed a correlation between solar minimums and warm summers / cold winters in this part of the globe at least.
I was much more innocent then and had some faith in establishment science.
Again in 2009 / 10 I had a great winter wild camping in a Kerry transformed into a proper alpine wilderness with extreme temperture inversions and other weird stuff for the area.
If a dork had a albeit instinctive and not scientific gut feeling for reality then why not official science ?
Because science has become scientism .
