Perhaps inevitably, the Guardian's coverage reaches peak hysteria:

Thomas Cook is going under. The world's oldest tour operator and a major employer.
100,000 people could be about to be stranded abroad with no flight back.
And the BBC starts its news with Climate Truants. Lots and lots of Climate Truants.
Why?
Because they are blaming the victims for flying in the first place.

A "global general climate strike" - co-ordinated protest action on climate change - is happening all over the world today. This is a protest movement that has very much been fuelled by young people, but now the organisers are calling on adults, workers in fact, to get involved if they can. .
Andrew Leng, director of WML Consulting in Cheadle, which employs 30, told Radio 5 Live that he would be taking part.
"I was keen not to use the word strike. As a business owner it makes no sense to say 'I'm on strike'. I've said that I'm supporting the student in their action," he said, saying his two co-director were a little hesitant at first.
"I had thought long and hard about how I was going to present the idea of me not working today and saying to our staff that also could not work," he said.
He tries to travel by train and has flown to a client in Belfast in the past but now intends to use the ferry - which will take longer but he can work on the ferry, he said.
"I'm encouraging staff to cycle, use the train when they can".
