Discussion > The Euro-Battle continued ....

No matter what you think of Theresa May's approach, she has been very polite, courteous and level headed towards those on the other side of the table, yet the EU 'negotiators' have behaved quite unlike a diplomat should behave, (and the Remoaner MPs have forgotten the collective promise they made).

Their gloating of their perceived view that Britain has encountered some failures during the negotiation doesn't make me, and I expect many others, want to have anything to do with them at all.

I see German exports to Britain are down.

The European Commission made its views clear in a notice to all airlines in the event of a no Brexit deal.

If negotiators fail to agree a deal, UK air carriers would no longer enjoy traffic rights under any air transport agreement to which the EU is a party, such as the US-EU Open Skies agreement

Express: Brexit threat: EU threatens to strip British airlines of flying rights if negotiators FAIL

I expect Continental airlines could have their rights to fly into Britain suspended by the UK, though flying from London to Africa or most of Asia would be a challenge!

Their behaviour isn't in the spirit of the EU documentation, and I can only think of two explanations for it. Either they have forgotten what their position in the world is, to help their fellow citizens to have a pleasant and fullfilling life, or they really do hate us.

Either way, I am so pleased that we are heading for Brexit, and the Cleaner the better!

Polite and courteous hasn't saved us 40 billion. If our politicians have committed this country to a 40 billion debt through agreements in the past then perhaps they should of tol the British people as it happened. Just walk away!

I put this on Unthreaded, but it is better here:

It's no joke!

“It’s time to face the truth. We cannot and will never be able to stop migration,” writes EU Commissioner for Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos, in a piece for POLITICO, published Monday entitled, “Europe’s Migrants Are Here to Stay”.

In it, the Eurocrat wrote “human mobility will increasingly define the 21st century”, and that mass migration is an issue Brussels has committed Europe to “for the long haul”, stating: “Migration is deeply intertwined with our policies on economics, trade, education and employment — to name just a few.”

Pointing to migrants from the world’s poorest countries who were granted refugee status in Europe, Avramopoulos made clear that Brussels sees asylum not as a way to offer temporary respite from war but instead as another method of permanently transplanting third world populations into EU nations.

“They have found safety in Europe, but we also need to make sure they find a home,” he writes of refugees, going on to insist that programming Europeans to welcome mass migration is “not only a moral imperative”, but “also an economic and social imperative for our aging continent — and one of the biggest challenges for the near future”.

Politico: Europe’s migrants are here to stay
The author, Dimitris Avramopoulos is European commissioner for migration, home affairs and citizenship.

If only the EU had reformed the CAP when they reduced our Rebate (the Blair Deal) they would be in better shape - and we might not have left.

If you believe that .... :) :) :)
