Not sure why this sprang to mind, but just wondered what questions of the 'when did you stop beating your wife?' type we compose to pose to those of more verdant hue on the climatological spectrum. Something along the lines of 'Should the tax money taken from the ordinary citizen be given as subsidies to the financial trades in carbon, or to the multinational energy companies?

What variants on this theme with a science angle could we come up with?
