For the environmentalist, lies are a way of life
Apr 23, 2015 Climate: Sceptics Ethics Greens
Global warming is real - it is man-made and it is an important problem. But it is not the end of the world.
Bjorn Lomborg on climate change
Now take a look at what environmentalists and lefties have to say. The tsunami of lies is quite, quite extraordinary:
And this is just a fraction of the "top tweets". The torrent of dishonesty has to be seen to be believed. It's as if lying was simply the chosen tactic of the green movement. For them it's a way of life.

M Courtney, the definition of an "environmentalist" in the Australian political landscape is always someone of the Left. I agree that this is a lie, but rest assured, not a single person with conservative political views is ever interviewed or cited in the media as an "environmentalist." Not one, not ever.
That is the context for my comments. I agree that it's a travesty of language and honesty, but that's how it is.
Peter Stroud; 1:47pm:
The Bish is correct, the problem with ticks is Lyme Disease, not Weil's (but both equally nasty). I didn't catch the broadcast, but did see the report on the BBC website. No mention on that of any link to climate change, as far as I could see.
But, any such claim that Lyme Disease is spreading across the UK due to climate change is complete and utter bullsh. Ticks have no migratory ability as a species. They get born, climb up a plant, jump onto a passing mammal and feed on it blood, drop off, find another tick of the opposite sex, reproduce and die, fact. Climate change ain't going to change ticks into marathon runners.
“Floods are not the river’s fault,”
Dams
Toronto city council blocked a plan two years before Hazel to build three dams on the western branch of the Humber River. The Humber Valley Conservation Authority planned to revive the plan as they investigated ways of preventing future floods. The authority approved the idea when it was proposed, but council rejected it because Toronto would have had to subsidize most of the $2,000,000 cost. The smallest dam would have been sited south of Stanley Mills south of Highway 7, another at Clairville half a mile south of highway 7 and at Ebenezer just north of the road linking Brampton and Highway 11. The chairman of the authority, Leavens, said that the dams would not have stopped the flooding, yet they would have had, “a wonderful effect.” The western branch of the Humber drains a third of the Humber, so dams would have held back some of the water.
S.L. Barnes, the Assistant Director of conservation for the province, was inclined to agree with Leavens, however, dams strong enough to hold back the floodwaters would have been very expensive.
Eric W. Baker, a representative of York township was opposed to the dams because he felt that the dams would have had little impact on the large volume of water that Hazel produced. Plus, he felt that the flood peak was magnified by urban development in the area. He favoured a plan that would have the weather bureau report frequently the rainfall during a storm and then municipal officials would be tasked with predicting the flood peaks and warning people of any ensuing danger. Baker also recommended that floodplains not be built upon.
A.H. Richardson, Ontario’s chief conservation engineer, indicated that had all six proposed dams been constructed, the flood peak would only have been reduced by thirty five percent. “Floods are not the river’s fault,” Richardson said. (TS, October 19, 1954) Floodplains belong to rivers. Plans to construct dams, complete contour plowing, reforestation, and farm ponds assist in the retention of flood waters, whereas, straightening channels and removing obstructions in the river channel speed the current. When people choose to build on a floodplain they are doing so at their peril.
The Metro Planning Board asked the provincial government to move all residents out of river flats. Metro Chairman Gardiner felt that dams were unnecessary except to maintain the summer water flow and preserve the environment.
“When we are honest with ourselves, and get down to the bottom of the flood problem, about 90% of the permanent flood damage is the result of building roads, railways, factories, homes, farms, and what not on land that properly belonged to the river,” according to a United States Army Engineer. (TS, October 19, 1954)
It has been recognized that people continually return to flood prone areas. If ten to twenty years pass without a repeat of a flood, people may consider the location safe.

Deniers, every last one of them.
there is cum, vile scum and greeny leftists.
the right always is too lenient towards them and always hoping for reciprocity in their civil approach.
it never works.
the scum left waterholes need to be drained, of course they will hiss and huff
Here in the land of OZ...my preference for a term for these people is usually "clueless faux environmentalist".
All the mad one`s that have tried to lecture to me...ALL of them..owned a car and were connected to the grid.
And..the common defence of ALL of them, if you asked them a technical question was..blank look and "I dont really know much about the topic"..thats their get out of gaol card..!!!
I knew we are really down the rabbit hole... when I gave a friend of mine who teaches science..the bish`s book to read.
His response was.."I have not read the book and will not..this book scares me".
We are...%$#@#$%#...the masses are truly mad..they have won.. :(
Bish, whatever "storify.com" is, it keeps clogging up and preventing loading of your pages.
Mike Jackson and M Courtney, I really appreciate your contributions. Always worth reading, and often generating a response of "hear, hear."
But, you might want to think about where your loyalties and affiliations are leading you, and what they are connecting you with.

clipe, you are going to have to put that into plain English for the rest of us.

My comment addressed to Peter Stroud (Apr 23, 2015 at 5:08 PM) was addressed to you, not Peter. My bad.

sorry for being vague
@anonym that Lenin quote seems to be contexted here ..found by Googling "Telling the truth is a bourgeois"
said to be 1921 or 1912
However nothing shows on Google Scholar so perhaps it was made up
BTW I think Bish means THESE Lefties rather than Lefties in general
so "Now take a look at what THESE environmentalists and THESE lefties have to say"
Massive correlation between those tweeters and frequently tweeting hate for Abbott. One guy does it 3 times/day. Yet the correlation for other terms is quite low Flannery, Labour, denier, even "climate" to a lesser extent (one guy does tweet about climate 2X/week)
An exception was one of them who has never tweeted about Abbott before.
Overall 1/3 of tweeters connect Lomborg + Abbott
12,000 Lomborg tweet mentions in last 7 days since announcement April 17th
3,800 Lomborg + Abbott
1,700 Lomborg +Australia/Australian
(note so at least 20% wrongly assign Lomborg as not a mainstream believer !)
974 Lomborg +contrarian (wow more people use contrarian than denier !). 600 Lomborg +skeptic
600 Lomborg +denier/denialist/denialism
Some hatespeak could also come from the notion that "if it isn't our extremist environmentalism then it isn't environmentalism"
The anti science from the left has been extraordinary, with Facebook fascists being amongst the worse. That includes Greens Senators!

Now we know who they are and what they are. :)
Bolt's report sets some context
Johanna, and everyone else,
We all have to do that. On every side.
But choosing to connect people to sides by adopting another sides language is still an error It concedes ground that is hard to get back.
a quick post while UK is still sleeping
- The context : Dirty in Mouth, small in number
the haters are a small nasty mouthed bunch as 3,800 tweets is not much considering Australia has 20 million people and half those tweets probably come from outside ..it's hardly like the million people who signed a petition to get a TV presenter J Clarkson reinstated after he thumped a colleague. (unfortunately the deluded mainstream media think a 100 shouters on twitter are more important than general public)
On @tom harley blog link1 and link2 above an interesting statistic slides off the side of the screen..
he links to the UWA facebook page where there are about 200 comments from the rent-hate-mob ...bit touchy about their religionMaybe UWA was picked cos it is the university that HIDES data, isn't in Lewandowsky ?
PS look who is going to be on Bolt's TV show Sunday morning : "Environment Minister Greg Hunt. On Flannery, cut-price emissions-cutting and Bjorn Lomborg."
@ Gilbert K. Arnold: I realised that no worries. I agree with much of what was said. HAGWE.
These Clever Green/Lefties and Clever Hans the maths horse both have the same logic process.
- In the this case all our "trainer" has to do is indicate the issue is "denier" or "OK" and then Clever Green/Lefties can give the "correct" answer to it. in this "It's evil/ugly nasty cos he's a denier"
All those eco-freak(EDF,Grenpeace,Sierra Club Etc) groups and other who use this Global Warming in their commercials should be charged with False and Misleading advertising and lying to the public after they lied about DDT,The Rainforests,Global Cooling and their lying big time about Global Warming
