Tol on radical greens

Richard Tol's article on radical greens is a must-read:

There are now elements in the environmental movement who are so worried about the state of the planet that they have lost all sense of proportion. This is alarming for those at the receiving end of their mindless wrath. It does not help to protect the environment either. Just like Boko Haram does not endear anyone to Muslims, green radicals taint all environmentalists. But whereas Islamic leaders immediately distance themselves from any new outrage, environmental leaders pretend nothing happened.

This really deserves a wider audience.

In 1941, ex-Blackshirt Jorian Jenks left internment to become a Sussex farmer. After the War he communicated with Richard Jarré, Hitler's Agricultural Minister from Blud und Boden. In 1946, Jenks and others set up the Coventry Soil Association, initials SA. This was given by elite English Fascists a Monopoly to approve seeds for human consumption. F1 was another such group.

Our SA slowly infiltrated society. In the late 1980s the daughter of one of the founders fronted infiltration of Midlands' Lib Dems; indoctrinating Oxford PPE students was a key aim, also to create the replacement for Mosley.

The organic food and renewables’ movement is really the vehicle to enrich elite Fascists. They have low level groups to enforce local control. The Warwickshire version, which had links with the Orange Order, planning corruption and a protection racket to keep local builders, who provided the muscle, sweet, was closed down in 2001. There appear to be other groups still operating.

"Dramatic footage shows the moment a West Country huntmaster is knocked unconscious in a vicious attack by masked hunt saboteurs armed with iron bars"

The end justifies the means - as always these people break the law whenever it suits them!

For all those warning of real rather than threatened violence, see the clip of a Huntmaster being hit with an iron bar by Greens:

I must be in nit-picking mode this morning (for which I apologise) but first Drapetomania and now Starship Enterprise (aka a list so long we won't trouble ourselves).
In the first place the name you are looking for is Darre, not Jarré.
In the second place (like Drapetomania's "Golden Rice Foundation"(I accidentally used the word 'global' in my original post but 'golden' was what I had searched for)) I would rather like some link that takes me to "Coventry Soil Association" because I can't find it, and nor can I find any suggestion or even a hint of a hint that F1 is anything other than either a motor racing organisation or the description of a (very useful) plant hybridisation method.
Am I going doolally or is winter becoming the silly season in the UK? Enough already with the conspiracy theories!

Professor Tol's stature in this debate grows ever larger and his position more admirable thanks to his calm and reasonable, even generous, response to these recent displays of hot-headed extremism.

As KenW says, it is nothing to do with the environment, AGW is a sideshow along the road to UN Global Governance. Of course that immediately brings out the comments of "conspiracy theory", but the truth really is out there. The environmentalists are the footsoldiers of the UN globalists and the long term shift of society to a Fabian Socialist model.

For a lot more detail on the individuals such as Maurice Strong, Crispin Tickell, James Speth, William Ruckelshause and many more, together with groupings such as Socialist International, pushing this agenda for decades check out "United Socialist Nations - Progress on Global Governance via Climate Change"
http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/originals/un_progress_governance_via_climate_change.html

Maurice Strong was responsible for bringing the NGO's into the orbit of the UN and giving them power. Now there is a revolving door between governments and the main NGO's.

"As the architect of the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations Development Program, (UNEP-UNDP), Strong had for many years co-ordinated and strengthened the integration of Non-Governmental Organisations, (NGO’s) into the UN environmental bodies. In Geneva in 1973, he launched the "World Assembly of NGO's concerned with the Global Environment". He realised that for his ambitions of a UN world government to become reality he needed the vast networking opportunities offered by the NGO’s, now referred to as “Civil Society”.

By offering them involvement and a perception of power he brought them on board and certainly the UN could not have developed as far as it has without them. NGO’s are now involved in all UN bodies and are major contributors to the IPCC reports. They have helped to build this all-encompassing bureaucracy into the behemoth that it now is."

"The Commission on Global Governance was established in 1992, after Rio, at the suggestion of Willy Brandt, former West German chancellor and President of the Socialist International.

It recommended that "user fees" should be imposed on companies operating in the "global commons." Such fees could be collected on international airline tickets, ocean shipping, deep-sea fishing, activities in Antarctica, geostationary satellite orbits, and electromagnetic spectrum. The main revenue stream would be carbon taxes, to be levied on all fossil fuels. "A carbon tax," the report said, would yield very large revenues indeed."

Sound familiar?

@ Jackson. Agreed Darré; typo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soil_Association

'One of the founders of the Soil Association was Jorian Jenks, a former member of the British Union of Fascists (BUF), closely associated with Oswald Mosley....... During the late 1940s the Association involved far-right and even antisemitic elements, remnants of the defunct BUF, and was driven by far-right political ideas as much as ecological concerns. Following Jenks' death in 1963, the Association tilted towards the left of the political spectrum, especially under the new president of the Association, Barry Commoner.'

The rest of my post is an eye-witness account of events in South Warwickshire. The organic farming/renewables' movement is classified as left wing but in reality it aims to reduce power supplies to urban dwellers to life-threatening level whilst profiting the elite who own the windmills. For further info see: http://conservativehome.blogs.com/centreright/2009/11/optimum-population-trust-seeing-what-they-want-to-see.html

'For example, the UK should shrink to 29 million people, from the 60 million we currently have. We are of course a small island, but ask yourself which half of your friends you would rather did not exist?' This is serious stuff.

That would be the Willy Brandt who was subsequently exposed as a long-term Soviet spy?

Thanks, BTW, Dennis Ambler. Your comments are one of the things that keep me coming back here.

George Monbiot's mentor and close friend at Oxford ,Sir Crispin Tickell is an extreme right wing eugenicist. He was Margaret Thatcher's ambassador to the UN, her global warming adviser and member of the famous eugenics Huxley family .

NCC 1701E

Sir Crispin was President of the Royal Geographical Society from 1990 to 1993 and Warden of Green College, Oxford between 1990 and 1997, where he appointed George Monbiot and Norman Myers as Visiting Fellows.

He is also a patron of the Optimum Population Trust, and told Radio 4's Today programme that the ideal population for Britain could be around 20 million. As a member of Lord Rogers' Urban Task Force, Tickell counselled against spreading cities saying that we need denser living, that young adults should not expect to leave home straight away, and that older relatives could live in 'granny flats

Mike Jackson, there is such an organisation.
http://www.goldenrice.org/

Draptomania's questions are superficially reasonable but, IMO, seem to either ignore or completely discount the evidence that bio-fortification does provide useful extra vitamin A. He/she has not yet given us reasons.

Unfortunately, specific organisations/companies are often not very good at putting their own case. (Shale-gas/oil companies please take note). Pubmed is usually a much better place to search for recent science papers in the health arena. E.g. A 2014 review

Thanks for that link. My original intention was to suss out the apparent "misunderstanding" that there were (allegedly) no peer-reviewed papers on the subject since my understanding had always been that there was plenty of research, most of which had concluded that there were benefits. Except for the likes of Drapetomania who really doesn't give a stuff how many Africans go blind presumably.

Starship
We know what the Soil Association is. I'm just disputing that 70 years on its original (somewhat tenuous) Nazi connections are in any way relevant. I can find no evidence that the development of the F1 hybrid is connected to them or even something they would countenance. There are surely enough genuine threats around the place without worrying about an organisation which, compared to the pseudo-Nazi thugs that beat up foxhunters or the possible (probable?) infiltration of the green movement by Putin's thugs, is about as much danger as a pair of cockroaches gnawing at the foundations of your house!
Sorry. I think the weather is getting to my back again!!

@esmiff Thanks, I did know this. The Green movement and windmills are arguably the front for full-on Fascism.

The immigration scam is part of the plan, to use internecine conflict as the inner cities cease to be able to support the present population.

Thank you Johanna,

These ideas never go away and after Copenhagen, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon, commissioned a “High Level” advisory group to look into the issue of Climate Change Financing. Their report was released three weeks before the Cancun Climate Conference.

“The Advisory Group emphasized the importance of a carbon price in the range of US$20-US$25 per ton of CO2 equivalent in 2020 as a key element of reaching the US$100 billion per year.

The higher the carbon price, the steeper the rise in available revenues and the stronger the mutual reinforcement of abatement potentials and different measures.”

Among the proposals put forward by the group were taxes on aviation jet fuel, airline passenger tickets, and "bunker fuel," the heavy diesel fuel used by maritime shippers.

Revenues from carbon taxes were also proposed based on a tax on carbon emissions in developed countries raised on a per-ton-emitted basis.

Up to US$10 billion could be mobilized from other instruments, such as the redeployment of fossil fuel subsidies in developed countries or some form of financial transaction tax, (Tobin Tax) though diverging views will make it difficult to implement this universally." (Now a strong proposal by the EU, http://www.moneymarketing.co.uk/news-and-analysis/regulation/eu-members-revive-financial-transaction-tax-reforms/2018141.article)

Post Lima, there has been much talk of "The Green Climate Fund" for which they are currently boasting of increasing commitments from western nations.

The initial list of members can be seen here:
"High Level Climate Finance - Key to Global Governance"
http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/originals/high_level_climate_finance.html

It included the UK's very own Lord Stern and Chris Huhne, Christine Lagarde, now head of the IMF, billionaire financier George Soros and Ciao Koch-Weser of Deutsche Bank, whose wife is a trustee of Pachauri's TERI-Europe and where Sir John Houghton and the ubiquitous Crispin Tickell are "advisors".

Pachauri was until a couple of years ago on the Climate Advisory Board of Deutsche Bank, Potsdam's John Schellnhuber is still there, as are Lord Browne and Lord Oxburgh. https://www.db.com/en/content/company/Advisory-Boards.htm.

Browne and Schellnhuber are also on the advisory board of the LSE/Imperial Grantham Institutes, along with the heads of US NGO Environmental Defense and WWF-US. http://www.lse.ac.uk/GranthamInstitute/about/about-the-institute/advisory-board/.

From that board, Fankhauser and Hoskins are on the UK Climate Change Committee. Fankhauser is Chief Economist to Globe International (details in "United Socialist Nations", my previous comment), whose President is Lord Deben, and as we know, is also Chair of the UK Climate Change Committee. Stern and Fankhauser were heavily involved in a company called Idea Carbon until not long ago, UNFCCC Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres, (trained by Al Gore!), was a senior advisor on their carbon ratings scheme until her present job, see http://sppiblog.org/news/a-nest-of-carbon-vipers

No wonder Bob Ward has to constantly engage in diversionary tactics.

Mike Jackson,

The words that the serial GM disinformer used were that no studies listing ALL of the benefits of golden rice had been published (not 'peer-reviewed') - hence my quick-fire response. There's a huge wealth of information out there - 302,000 hits typing 'golden rice' into Google Scholar, for example, but people who write this sort of thing aren't generally seeking to be informed, more wanting to exert control and directly or otherwise, inflict misery on innocent lives.
