Ads

As readers will note, I am now showing this site's first ad. This is something of an experiment both for me and for my advertiser. Thoughts from readers are welcome.

I have no objection if it doesn't interfere with the functioning or readability of the blog.
If I found it overly intrusive I would say so.

If it makes you some money, then I think you have earned it.

I think this blog provides an essential service. You do a brilliant job, day after day, and anything (within reason) that can support your efforts is to be welcomed. We need you!

Had you not menetioned it, I would have been non the wiser. So I guess not an issue for me at least.

I would grab any advertising you can - don't be squeamish - every penny is going towards the most important political cause of our age.

Fags, booze, sex - even stoop to Greenpeace!

We don't have to buy the product.

I think ads for related literature are hardly ads at all - more like endorsements!

Some sceptical blogs have automatic ads for carbon credits, and I think that would be unfortunate!

I'm in favo(u)r of more advertising. WattsUpWithThat uses some form of Google Ads, I believe. Occasionally people see something interesting and they might buy or donate to - which is their choice and beneficial to all. Any advertising revenue supports the site owner who invests a great deal of time in the site. Go for it.

Go for it.

Ads are great, if they assist the enterprise. Go for it.

No problemo.

We're all grown up here and know "nout is for nout". This and other similar blogs educate and "entertain" me and I'm only too pleased that you receive some recompense for your superb efforts.
Thank you for all you do.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a face in the clouds of steam on the cover picture of "Climate: The Great Delusion". Photoshop job or carefull selection?

TBH I see the current mania with climate as being an unheathlty interest as to a claim to be able to see a theatening face in the fire.

IIRC there was a stamp which was withdrawn because a demon's head could be seen on the coils of HRH's hair.

Is it just me or does anyone else see the letters "C O ?" in the steam issuing from the tower on the cover of "Climate Change: Natural or Man Made"?
