Hockey Stick Illusion for US readers

While my publisher has made valiant efforts to sell the US rights to The Hockey Stick Illusion and I've made my own attempts too, we've had no joy so far. US readers can buy the book direct from Amazon UK, but this may be relatively expensive. Could someone perhaps find out how much it would cost to buy and ship a single copy to the US?

I'm still very tempted to self-publish in the US. There's a typeset manuscript ready to go, which would just need a cover design. However, wiser heads are advising me to hold on, and of course if I can make an impact in the UK there's always the possibility that someone will pick me up for North America.

What do readers think?

Perhaps a change of title for the American market? Something like:

CONGRATULATIONS
YOU'VE BEEN CONNED!
How Climate Scientists Scammed the World

Maybe you could try a Canadian publisher? I would guess it would be cheaper afterward fo a US buyer to ship it home.

How about publishing in Canada? Key Porter Books Ltd of Toronto published 'Taken by Storm' by Christopher Essex & Ross McKitrick (one of the dreaded Ms)

Yes, I'm looking at Canadian publishers too.

Don't self-publish.

It looks cheap and will give the enemy something to abuse you with ("...which nobody in the US would publish", and other such insults).

Wait and find someone willing to do it properly. If it goes OK on Amazon they'll soon be forming an orderly queue.

FYI: I just ordered the book from Amazon UK and it cost me $27.82 USD for delivery to the US.

Definitely get a Kindle version of this as quickly as possible, I know Amazon provides tools to quickly convert most formats into Kindle easily. I'd love to grab the book, but I buy everything in e-format now. The space saving and convenience is tops.

Kindles do support graphics/pictures - but they are all in grayscale. I would snap this book up in a heartbeat if it was in a format that my Kindle could read. I'm not buying anything paper anymore (unless it's really really really important to me that I have it) because the Kindle is so frakking awesome.

Bishop, please do consider electronic format of your book please. You will definitely sell more of it especially over here in the states as a result.

The Cato Institute has published a number of books on the deceptions practiced in the Global Warming movement.

Have you contacted them?
