Earlier news
"I condemn them. I disavow, and I condemn," Trump said in a New York Times interview in New York, according to a reporter's Twitter post.

tomo. Interesting that your hated BBC News showed 1) a meeting with men clearly giving a salute involving each raising a raised straight arm held at an angle of 45p from the horizontal, and 2) a clearly embarrassed Trump spokeswoman pointing out that people like that only constitute a tiny proportion of Trump's support base - inadvertently accepting they were Trump supporters.

So how do you support your claim - "BBC just plain make up stuff as in the BBC's "Trump supporters use Nazi salute" stuff today"?.

@Tomo this : Trump supporters Nazi salute is a story that the BBC and LeftMob have picked up this last 24 hours.
- I don't suppose it checks out to be much news-worthy..they didn't run it on TV.
(They ran similar stories in March 2016, I wonder if today they used some of the old pictures mixed in)
The planet is full of nutters so it would be similarly easier to find hald a dozen Hillary supporters doing something nutty ..like pulling someone out of a car for voting Trump

I'm getting the most uncomfortable feeling that Trump is going to row back on his plans to bring down the AGW circus. Put it this way, I would not put money on him doing so. Sad.

PCar. I'm surprised you didn't know most of the Belgians I listed. Only one I put in to see if anyone recognized the name or asked about it. Georges Lemaitre originated most of the big ideas incorrectly attributed to Hubble (expansion of the universe, "Hubbles" Law and Constant) and first proposed the "Big Bang" cosmological theory and thus should be far better known.

I'm watching C5 Ben Fogle is visiting a WWOOFing, community in Ibiza, I've been to load of these communities.
Anyway the leader is on about building the rainwater pool cos the rain is getting less and less (so he thinks).
"Oh we've only 5 years before the S hits the fan and the whole worlds eco-system falls apart"
...what a true-believer.

I visited a similar community of Americans in Ecuador in July 1999 who were getting ready for the end of the world in year 2000, I declined their invitation to come back to wait out the end.

As Ezra Levant observed a couple of days back - the "progressive MSM" are mostly flummoxed by Trump and pounce on simply anything like a cat chasing a laser pointer dot....

and even now... the BBC just plain make up stuff as in the BBC's "Trump supporters use Nazi salute" stuff today.

The media are furious with Trump as he's cut them out - and that is surely a direct consequence of their antics running up to and during the election. The presumption and hubris of the "journalists" is immense as they seek to hang onto their self appointed role as the interface between government and the governed and their undoubted power to manipulate that relationship and filter the messages to suit their own agendas...

Why would anybody deal with these media people when you know that they will misrepresent and distort what you say at every turn?

I see the role of the media being attenuated - their manipulation of the audience feedback via closing comments etcetera is in my view an indication that the relevance of the present media is evaporating as people see them as parasites with their own agendas.

@ACK,

Names you mentioned mostly elicited a "who?" thought.

iirc the Belgian King you mention was Leopold

As for modern Belgium, they refused to sell 155mm ammunition to UK in GW1.
.

Re Portugal, they have indeed been allies on many occasions through the centuries.

However, their first allegiance (like Eire) has been to Rome/Vatican - hence my negativity and mentioning how "The English Church" had to be hidden from public sight.
