"A huge fire broke out at a Bristol University building which was being refurbished.
The 5 storey Fry building was due to reopen this spring as a Maths block."
Was it Lew burning his data ?

BBC Sydney has endured its hottest day for nearly 80 years.
By coincidence I looked at Australia's weather maps yesterday in an attempt to find where America's missing heat was
..I found not a prolonged heatwave but a strange one day wave which moved to diffferent cities over days
either side temps were not extra hot , especially in Melbourne.

The temp of 47C would seem to be peak, not in the shade

A begging letter from the Guardian

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading the Guardian than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. The Guardian’s independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

" I’ve been enjoying the Guardian’s top-quality journalism for several years now. Today, when so much seems to be going wrong in the world, the Guardian is working hard to confront and challenge those in power. I want to support that."
Robb H, Canada

"If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as £1, you can support the Guardian – and it only takes a minute. Thank you."

Shame to see it go the the wall; we need a range of views to be objective.

Mark. Do you really think there's a bias between "suffers" and "shivers" (or "bakes")?

BBC bias in headlines in articles reporting extreme weather:

"US shivers as temperatures hit record lows".

"Sydney suffers hottest day since 1939".

Desperately low temperatures simply cause you to shiver. But you "suffer" very hot weather. Why? Because cold doesn't fit the AGW propaganda, but heat does, I suspect.
