And now I wonder why I didn't see anything about the Swiss referendum on the BBC. Maybe I didn't wait long enough before switching over from the extensive coverage of women's day and plastic cups.

There was a docu on German Tv at the weekend, discussng the vote in Switz on ther TV licence ( they kept it ). BBC was only brefly mentioned, but they chose to nterview D Dimbkeby who recounted how Mrs T never took down the BBC because "The BBC is more popular than politcians."
I found myself shouting "That was 30 years ago, you senile old fool !"

Land Crabs
In Fr Polynesia they grow wine on some islands. Crabs like to live under the vines in holes and eat the young plants. They are tolerated because when the crabs eventually die in their burrows, they make great fertiliser ( how long does a crab live ?)

Well SuperT
I was more concerned about the deal concerning the long vexed question affecting fishing - and that these folk are in who are making these decisions reality 'remainers' - it's a bit dodgy having these folk to mind the shop - you mightn't have anything to sell when you get back. But if you think that they won't rob you then that's alright then - I s'pose. But not for me!

My one of biggest gripes is the dumbing down of Mastermind. In the early years, Magnus' tenure, the questions were short and direct and scores in excess of 30 points with no passes were not unknown. Since the welsh windbag took over questions have increased in length for no good reason and scores reduced, he considers a mid 20s score exceptional. The show's title gives a hint as to what it's about. It's doubtful that Kevin Ashman could break the 30 barrier in the current format.

This is one example I could include Panorama, Horizon and many Radio 4 programmes in the list.

But there still many BBC programmes I do like watching and find interesting, despite the addition of Climate Change to most of them. We have a guess where the Climate Change will come competition as an anger management tool.

Rhoda

You left out the endless cooking shows. Dimbley does not even try to hide his bias. On last nights QT he interupted Dr. Fox in mid flow yet allowed the woman from Labour to rant on spouting a load of Left propaganda way off subject.

Because oh Kleinefeldmaus, ministers have a duty to represent the interests of ALL of the British population. The fact that just under 50% of the population voted to remain does not mean that their views now go unrepresented. I expect my MP, who I did not vote for, to consider my views if I should care to present them. I voted for a representative who would exercise their judgement.

TinyCO2, the BBC has no idea of why it is under threat of losing business. It sees right-leaners, brexiters and the rest of us as in need of more education. There is no way they will tackle the problem other than to intensify what they already do to finally get us on side. Oh, and dumb down everything. Imagine 24hour Blue Peter, Countryfile and Question Time interspersed only with antique and property shows and the occasional leftist drama. Wait, you don't need to imagine it, just switch on your TV. The people who run it now can't fix it.

Just like climate change, it's the dreaded 'failure to properly communicate our message to the public'.

Remainer in Chief Hammond sparks anxiety in Britain's Coaast Communities.

as one person observed 'May Hammond and Rudd clearly have chosen to betray the will of the people - yet they are STILL running the country. WHY'. Well I would be asking WHY have they still got their heads. do we have to do all this again?

re Land crabs
Don't sit beneath coconut palms in most Pacific islands; highly modified land dwelling and tree-climbing crabs will kill or injure you.
One of the strangest sights on African safari is of crabs (looking just like shore crabs) scuttling across the track while you are watching gnu.
Finally, have you not seen the annual invasion of crabs (by the hundreds of thousands) in Guam?
