Finally, I note that in the report on Deben's (spit) fairytale they have reverted to reporting on CO2. Very strange times.

On Channel 4, Deben said that people are only interested in making a fast buck out of continuing to oppose renewables.

We also have peat fires making the news because it burns. It used to be harvested because it burns, but that was opposed by the Green Blob.

Meanwhile the EU draws closer to the inevitable unprecedented death spiral caused by migration and Climate Scientists. Who had the bright idea to blame the migation crisis and civil wars on Global Warming in the first place?

CO2 huh...?

I notice that OCO-2 satellite data has seemingly been quite resistant to being messed with there's lots of "Carbon" when there's supposed to be little and little "Carbon" when there's supposed to be lots - at awkward times too.... and the distribution doesn't correlate well with GISS-NASA's simulations - at all.

All from the sensor that was supposed to be able to measure individual sites Carbon naughtiness.

Of course *nobody* in the Carbon mitigation business wants to talk about it at all and idiotic berks like Gummer prance around like nothing's wrong.

FWIW: I was fascinated by the PC convulsions of the BBC as it reported on the shortage of CO2 for the drinks industry. It had a dilemma - that it could not continue to report on the lack of 'carbon' as the context might be lost on those who know that fizzy drinks need CO2.

Secondly, if the abundance of carbon in the atmosphere was causing global warming/climate change, then surely - to those who are taken in by the likes of Harrabin - the lack of 'carbon' would mean that the current Summer is over and temperatures would plummet as a result.

So, the BBC resorts to reporting on CO2 for this news item. But hey! CO2 is good because it gives us our drinks; Carbon is bad because it heats us up: one is the white knight, the other the black bogeyman. How bloody pathetic, yet how predictably and subliminally racist of the BBC.

Finally, I note that in the report on Deben's (spit) fairytale they have reverted to reporting on CO2. Very strange times.

I don't expect it to happen.

The next German Leader may want something to happen. The current one has seen the present crisis as proof of her success.

Crimes against Humanity should include encouraging and enabling people to drown at sea

If there were no boat rides, someone else would provide them. Let's face it, if you lived in Africa, wouldn't you be on your way? The EU must seem like the land of milk and honey. It's only the thought that we would send them home that stopped more coming before now. It's probably easier to live as an EU prisoner than an African soldier or farmer. The only way we can solve this is to do what they always though and take them home, every single one. Even if we have to DNA profile them to work out where. Then they say 'I risked all that to end up where I started.

I don't expect it to happen.

Mind you, I've always thought Katya Adler was one of the BBC's better and more balance reporters. The surprise is that she's allowed to have an article in these terms on the BBC website's front page.

The BBC has always prided itself on the quality of its drama and acting. Katya never read the pre-written script, with foregone conclusion.

If there was no free cross -Mediterranean ferry service advertised, which guaranteed entry into the EU, plus food and accommodation on arrival, why would anyone start their journey?

Under new Leadership, that does not take EU compliance with its own assurances for granted, Italy has called out France and Germany. Macron has impaled himself on Merkel's sausage, and fairly soon, may find himself without any other means of support.

the way that the entire migrant business has been (mis)handled centrally needs more exposure - the logistics tail of how the the flows happen simply isn't on media radar and we're expected to believe that a couple of hundred sub Saharan Africans have walked to the Med shore found a new inflatable boat c/w outboard motor and 20 miles of fuel and life jackets and their simple folly of setting sail in it requires a rescue....

I don't know about anybody else but I'm beyond fed up with the con.

Germany and France's policy for avoiding immigration goes this way - 1) insist the migrants register at those countries they arrive at ie not France or Germany. 2) be as unpleasant as possible so they don't want to come. 3) Move them on to anyone else eg UK. Personally I'm surprised the Med countries didn't work this out ages ago. Merkel didn't realise that her invitation brough Germany into the migrants' cross hairs. No backsies.

The migrants aren't going to stop until the consequences of going are worse than staying put. So the EU has to take them right back where they came from. The EU won't do that until it's too late. It requires too many changes the human rights act.
