Isn't it a con when activists say eating meat is CO2 intensive, so people should go vegan ?
and then say that Drax burning trees is carbon neutral cos the same carbon is cycled back into new growth
Surely all cow CO2 came from grass and will go back to grass
(unless you are talking about clearing a forest to turn it into pasture of course)

IPCC - “last chance to save the planet” again
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has issued its latest Summary for Policy Makers – and it’s the usual farrago of dubious science, wailing hysteria and worryingly eco-fascistic policy prescriptions.
The first ever audit of the world’s most important temperature data set has found it to be so riddled with errors that it is effectively useless.

"Taxpayer's payroll" - forever
Private sector - fired
There is one planet, with no opportunity to run controls, replicates or alternative treatments. The climate system you study is stochastic and chaotic.?
Finally you are working with limited staff and limited funding in coditions near the limits of human survival.
As an engineer, I wonder how your approach would differ from what is already being done?

If Professionals in other disciplines kept making error strewn mistakes and guesses, how long would they stay on the Taxpayer's payroll? How long would they stay out of jail?

Pro-Brexit Tory MPs are threatening to vote down the budget to stop Theresa May allying with Labour MPs to push a ‘Soft Brexit’ deal through Parliament.
Spineless
The Acting Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police was present at the Westminster terror attack in 2017, but stayed in his car with the doors locked.
The European Union wants to help Theresa May get a Brexit deal through Parliament if she abandons her so-called ‘red lines’ and [May] makes more concessions.
To my surprise I agree for once with an utterance by Entropic Man (17:32). Yes, those who study climate have a tougher job than those who work in mature fields. Yes it’s chaotic.
But here’s the rub: These people display an unwarranted degree of certainty. If climatographers (they don’t deserve an ‘ology’...) were to come clean about the limits of their modelling the West wouldn’t be squandering billions on palliative measures.
Not that anyone listens to me, but my suggestion is to cap their funding at the level granted to water diviners or ghost hunters, whichever is the lower. The funds freed up could be much better spent on genuine environmental concerns such as habitat loss.
At least LBC has given air time to a notable climate sceptic and a scientist no less,
