5:40pm local radio in our region where the Greens get few votes.
'Now over Matt Cole who's in Bristol shadowing the Green Party leader today'
... very very chummy interview 5 minute item.
The BBC guy seemed very impressed with 3 storey mural of Greta with a drowning polar bear and tweeted a photo.

\\ British Extinction Rebellion co-founder Roger Hallam sparks fury by referring to the Holocaust as ‘just another f**kery in human history’ in German interview with Die Zeit//

OK there is an outragebus over this
but I wonder people often try to say complex things and get misread
.. is that what happened
..already European XR divisions are distancing themselves from Hallam

The context is that WW2 Geman things are a mega topic
and one should be careful about making comparisons
Terms like Fascist/Nazi should not be thrown around lightly cos the Nazis had a very extreme position where they tried to wipe out a race and killed 6 million Jews
One should refrain from labelling political opponenets as such cos the effect is to equate them to the most extreme case ..and poison the well of their discussion.
..Unfortunately that is what the Alarmists chose to do when they came up with the term Climate Denier instead of using the word skeptic ..they compare skeptics to Holocaust deniers.

@XRBerlin
explicitly distances itself from #RogerHallam & his statements relativizing the Holocaust.
The systemic annihilation of millions can & must not be downplayed or normalized.
Never. We have zero tolerance for anti-Semitism. #NieWieder

It's strange cos the BBC normally do at least one daily story promoting XR
BBC video page
BBC News - Ranulph Fiennes: I'm totally behind Extinction Rebellion
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/science-environment-50476354/ranulph-fiennes-i-m-totally-behind-extinction-rebellion

item is NOT available in Germany
... not cos of the Hallam backlash, but cos iplayer is UK only

It’s not like the BBC spends half its time promoting Extinction Rebellion
This R4 prog was on Monday morning and last night

"Student doctor explains why she's risking her career for the right to protest w/ Extinction Rebellion against climate emergency;
;BBC Radio 4 - The Untold, The Campaigning Medic"

"They were being transported in a hire van, which is now surrounded by police and Nian's friend jumps onto the vehicle's roof. "
...pedal powered was it ?

And back on Sunday there was an XR promo prog on Radio Wales
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000b6wg
Hallam's Face adorns the page
Extinction Rebellion co-founder Roger Hallam, and activists Sian Stephen and Hugh Thomas talk about their experience with the movement, and what is driving them to take action.

Context : the woman who disrupted two Anna Soubry TV interviews by shouting in the background is in jail
.. even though harassment normally needs 3 occasions to be proved.

So that the Double standard of Uk2019 courts

BBC report on the trial of the ER loons who glued themselves to a train…
Three Extinction Rebellion activists who glued themselves to a train have been found guilty of obstructing the railway.
Cathy Eastburn, Mark Ovland and Luke Watson were charged after a protest halted Docklands Light Railway services at Canary Wharf station on 17 April.
A jury at Inner London Crown Court unanimously found the trio guilty.
Judge Silas Reid said most defendants do not come to court “for such noble purposes”.

and….
Jurors convicted the defendants after an hour of deliberations, but the foreman added it was “with regret”.

and ….
Judge Reid indicated that a conditional discharge was possible, telling the jury: “I don’t see at the moment that there’s any possibility of any of these defendants going back to prison.

Hardly innocent but the judge is quite clearly on-side!

Enough is Enough: XR co-founder filmed calling for 'take down' of civilisation

LBC host calls for greater police powers
A co-founder of Extinction Rebellion has been filmed at an event calling for activists to “take down” civilisation as part of the group’s disruptive fight for climate change.
LBC can reveal today, as part of Nick Ferrari’s campaign for police to have greater powers to clamp down on the group, that Simon Bramwell spoke publicly at a meeting hosted by Deep Green Resistance UK, calling for them to adopt more extreme tactics.

Nick Ferrari’s Enough is Enough campaign is calling for changes to be made to the Public Order Act to give the police power to ban any protest that will cause serious public disorder. At present this power is limited to just protest marches.

Mr Bramwell spoke at a meeting by a group named By Any Means Necessary?, which was advertised on Facebook.

Meanwhile a supposedly IMPARTIAL judge praising XR protesters he is supposed to be punishing

BTW there is no official record of alleged remarks by the judge, so the headline could be an Alinsky trick itself
Only one dodgy lefty source carries the story
https://leftfootforward.org/2020/01/judge-reportedly-tells-extinction-rebellion-activists-you-have-to-succeed-while-sentencing-them/

No media were present at the sentencing and recording is not allowed but Davis said that a friend of one of the defendants in the public gallery made notes of Noble’s sentencing remarks.
According to these notes, Noble said:
“This is going to be my last Extinction Rebellion trial for a little while. I think they only allow us to do so many of these before our sympathies start to overwhelm us.”

“When I started, I was fully expecting to see the usual crowd of anarchists and communists, and all the dreadful things the Daily Mail say you are.”

“I have to say I have been totally overwhelmed by all the defendants. It is such a pleasure to deal with people so different from those I deal with in my regular life.
Thank you for your courtesy, thank you for your integrity, thank you for your honesty.
You have to succeed.”

we are not sure this story of the judge is Kosher
.. there is no proff
and no regular London judge called Noble.

There was one in Staffordshire.

Some people are trying to justify XR's law breaking & totalitarianism by quoting the example of suffragettes

Suffragettes: ~2000 upper class women who wanted votes for themselves, but not for working classes.
Suffragists: ~5400 women and men of all classes who campaigned peacefully for the vote for all classes.
The extremist of the Suffragettes delayed women getting the vote

Prince Harry spoke with Russian hoaxers who pretended to be Greta Thunberg
He fell for the prank and hit out at Donald Trump during two phone conversations
Today, Piers Morgan said the the hoax call was 'indicative of his kind of mindset'
Piers Morgan has slammed Prince Harry over his 'very woke' hoax phone calls with Greta Thunberg which 'revealed his us against the world attitude.'

Harry - who thought he was talking to Greta Thunberg and her father Savante - claimed President Donald Trump had 'blood on his hands' and would be 'outsmarted' by the teenage environmental activist

Harry claimed that Trump's support of the coal industry was negatively impacting island nations that he and Meghan had visited.

He later added: 'Unfortunately the world is being led by some very sick people so the people like yourselves and younger generation are the ones that are going to make all the difference.'

"the more we should knuckle down and try and make it happen"

Remember Megan and Harry look down on Thomas Markle and told him not to talk to anyone cos media betray you.

The six hundred comments run against them

The Mail article carries adverts with the fake news smokey STEAM chimneys
