As I said above, I'm off. I'll check this thread from time to time for news that it has been dealt with but, apart from that, I'll be keeping clear of the BH website.

I urge you to reconsider, Martin A.

Bishop Hill is better with your posts. Even if it was limited to ~three a day, with possible mistakes arising from lack of a preview function.

michael - many thanks for the kind comment.

I'll stick with what I decided, all the same. Tolerance of crap quality, plus workarounds and other kludges to enable co-existence with it, are what ensures its survival.

I've not had a 403 since I stopped using Preview Post.
Now if someone could tell me a fix for the Windows 10 Critical Error on the Start Menu I'd be grateful.

[This is being posted using a different machine and a different IP address from my 10:42 test, the last before my being 403'd.]

Have you tried experimental registry hacks? (me? xp programs menu on win7)

I have tried several things, even got rid of it for a few days, seems to be something Microsoft don't understand, a bit like Squarespace, anyway thanks for the link. Only mentioned it in frustration at having to create another desktop link..

I can confirm Martin A's three strikes and you're out on Preview Post, Squarespace seem to be struggling, not sure they have even got a test blog so their developer, I assume there's only one, can test what they read here!

I think you're right.

The section in italics is the only thing apart from 'SEC-61' that could be an "error message" — and it is different with each event.
Or put another way, as I pointed out to them in my one attempt to get some sense, there is no error message per se. For them to think "there may be a different one now" simply demonstrates they don't have a clue.
