Wow, Cornwall. My husband's family is originally from there. We all visited about 6 years ago. Is the White Horse still there? Have lost contact with the family owners and distant relatives of that establishment. Great people! Made our stay (at St. Ives, but visited the White Horse almost every other day) most welcoming!

A pleasant pub meet with excellent steak, but sadly the force 8 gales seem to have kept the masses away...

This is a long shot, but we (Jonathan Jones and I) will be in Cornwall at the weekend, and wondered if anyone would like to meet up.
Our nearest pub is the Tredrea Inn, Porthcothan Bay, PL28 8LN, 5 miles from Padstow and 9 miles from Newquay on the B3276 coast road. http://tredrea.weebly.com
